publick-transportMining its trademark vein of absurdist humour, the brilliant theatre duo Publick Transport returns to rural Dorset for two nights as part of Artsreach’s spring programme.

In these times of uncertainty laughter goes a long way, and although government isn’t an obvious comical topic, Publick Transport makes it a perfect tonic in their theatrical comedy ‘The Department of Smelling Pistakes’. This production follows Publick Transport’s touring comedy production last year, ‘20,000 Leagues Under The Office’.

robininceOn Saturday 19 March, comedian and writer Robin Ince stops off at Bridport Arts Centre on his Bad Book Club Tour. Based on the book that’s based on the award-winning comedy night, Robin gives a funny and fascinating tour through the books you didn’t know you didn’t need to read.

Combining his twin passions of science and bad literature, he clashes Cliff Richard biographies with evolutionary biology, Dutch astrology with books on how to pick up sexy girls.

The weather stayed clear for a successful day filming and as promised there was blood, gore and cider (the rough cider was like Jack Frost tiptoeing down your spine and zombified many). Followed by a right shin kicking gig at the Ropeys after.

What with all this talk of Cull the Gull we thought this would be a topical way to waste your time online.
