Monday 5 February and 12 March, 'Getting to grips with family history' a two day course, how to find and use birth, death and marriage records, how the census works and working with various websites. Ideal for beginners or those who want to refresh their knowledge. Courses held at Marsh Barn Farm, Burton Rd. Communities and life around Hardown Hill

Saturday 10 February, West Dorset Group of the SDFHS meeting Loders Village Hall, 2.00. Member Jane Ferentzi-Sheppard will be talking about the 'Communities and life around Hardown Hill'. The area had some of the worst poverty in the county and Jane will look at how that affected the lives of the people who lived there.
