This incredible photograph was taken by a Bridport Radio member Joy Adamson last weekend "I was just walking home from the pub and outside St Swithuns church I saw what at first I thought was a labrador coming out of the gates, as it came closer I noticed it was not a dog at all but a big cat, I managed to take a picture with my camera phone before it ran off up North Allington"

Also thanks to Sherborne Youth Club for a generous donationThis open letter is intended to share a predicament, suggest a course of action and incite some feed back. Put bluntly The Trick Factory in 2010 has lost a lot of money, more than any previous year. I don’t know the exact figure but its around 3K. The reasons for this are lack of support. Either from would be sponsors, contributors or simply people attending the facility, either to use and/or help at the premises.

Spirit of BridportA campaign has been launched to restore The Spirit of Bridport on signs welcoming visitors to the town.

The image of the flaxen-haired woman sitting on a throne is a detail from a mural in Bridport Town Hall painted by Fra. Newbery, a founder of the renowned Glasgow School of Art. It was later adapted for the town road signs post-war in the 1950s or 60s by George Biles, whose murals adorn The Electric Palace foyer.

The stereoscopic photo of Askers Roadhouse below is actually a glass slide. It was sent in by Derek Barnsley who says "All I know about it is that it was taken on someones family holiday to Wales and the West Country in either 1934 or 1935".
