runningDorset Mental Health Forum is excited to announce a new partnership with Bridport Runners. Supported by Tanya, one of the Forum's local peer workers, the 'Running for Wellbeing' group meets every Wednesday evening in Bridport Town. The aim of this initiative is to engage those who are struggling with their mental health into a friendly , supportive running group where the focus is equally on getting out and being social as much as actually running.

Con Giorgi, part of the Forum team says "We're really excited to have this opportunity to connect with people in Bridport, as this is an area where we have struggled to establish groups in the past. We would really love to get the word out about what we can offer and to get more and more people coming to these groups and knowing that they are not alone.  We also hope that the group can act as a gateway to more social activities as well as other Forum projects such as our free Recovery College and Advocacy service."

For more information, please call the Forum on 01305 257 172.

The Dorset Mental Health Forum is a local peer led charity. We exist to improve the lives of everyone affected by mental illness by promoting wellbeing and recovery. We were established in 1992 and employ people with lived experience of mental health problems whenever possible.
