Thieves beneath contempt.
There are people in this town who will know who is responsible for this.
The self styled criminal that goes through cars and feels legitimate about taking contents is a deluded scumbag.
Whether they need money for drugs or some other personal vice is irrelevant.
Screwing over another person who is on the same playing field and with the same life-chances is the ultimate in anti-social behaviour.
This action of selfishness demands equal reaction from our community. If anyone has knowledge of the individual/s responsible it is their duty to offer our town the semblance of civil behaviour, and if this kind of crass opportunism continues we are collectively headed nowhere.
To steal a working man’s tools is low. To steal an artist’s instruments is beneath contempt.
If no one has the guts to return these items they deserve a retribution, and I for one will be happy to join the angry mob and show this scumbag we can’t tolerate this sort of behaviour.
(on another note, my friend had a bass guitar nicked from his home at a party in Weymouth recently, it appeared at the pawn shop in town, and the person responsible was apprehended, bass was returned and the little shut was dealt with. Night be worth checking local exchange type shops?????)
RE: £500 Reward
Hi
Thanks for the comment. We were hoping that some Bridport Folk may have seen the people that took the instruments but so far we haven’t had any news. A friend did see two guys with the what we think is the instruments but unfortunately have had nothing further.
We did give leads to the police but they didn’t follow them up until a week later which meant CCTV footage was wiped. The police have now said they will close the case even though they didn’t do anything.
It is very sad that these people think it’s ok to steal someone’s prized possessions that they’ve worked so hard to get to create enjoyment and entertainment for all of us.
We keep searching eBay and have been to the pawn shop in Weymouth, we will continue to do this but unfortunately there is only so much we can do.
Fingers crossed some day they will be reunited to Kes.
