Bridport FM – search for a studio
Community radio station Bridport FM, which will be broadcasting to the town from 17 to 23 September, is seeking a portacabin to use as a temporary studio.
Kate Wilson the Arts Centre’s Learning Coordinator who is acting as studio manager for the project said “it has always been our intention to house the studio on the arts centre forecourt where it can be seen by passers-by. Ideally we are looking for a small 2 roomed portacabin as we have been told these are better acoustically a caravan – which was our original idea. One room will be the studio itself and the other a waiting area for studio guests – of which we hope there will be many.”

The temporary radio station is the culmination of a year-long project funded by the Esmee Fairbairn Foundation and will broadcast all the programmes made in the community during the year alongside lots of live content. Anyone from a local community or interest group who would like to come and speak about what they do on air is invited to get in touch with Kate Wilson as above to arrange a slot.
