Do you want to be on the radio? Bridport FM is seeking local people to train as radio presenters for it’s lunchtime and drive time shows for their September broadcast.
No previous radio experience is necessary, so if you have ever harboured a secret desire to take to the airwaves, you are warmly invited to get in touch.
Kate Wilson, the Arts Centre’s Learning Coordinator who is running the project said “we welcome all volunteers aged 16+ to get involved with Bridport FM. Ideally we would like each lunchtime and drive time show to be co-presented by a different pair, so we can offer the opportunity to as many people as possible.”
The lunchtime and drive time shows will be broadcast Monday to Friday at midday and 5pm with the lunchtime show also having a weekend slot at the same time. The presenters will introduce music, interview guests and cue in short, pre-recorded items.

The temporary radio station will take to the airwaves on FM (wavelength to be confirmed) and online between 15 and 21 September with live programmes between 9am and 9pm daily. The radio station will be sited on the Arts Centre forecourt and launches the venue’s 40th anniversary season.
