The Melplash Agricultural Show takes place at the Showground, West Bay, Bridport (DT6 4EG) on Thursday 25th August 2016. Attracting around 18,000 visitors a year from town and country, it is no surprise that it is regarded as the South West’s Premier one day Agricultural Show, and is known by regular visitors as the ‘friendly’ Show. With over 400 trade stands, local food, crafts and much more there really is something for everyone.
Having not lost its original roots, the Melplash Show still remains today a showcase for local farmers, producers, growers and craftsmen in the area. Our 2016 show will as always host a great selection of livestock as well as numerous horse, pony and donkey classes to see and compete in. Alongside this will be the opportunity to enter the many horticultural, floral, home produce and handicraft classes. Our Main Ring act is yet to be confirmed but we will let you know as soon as we can. There are also going to be a surprise guests around the Showfield – Sheridan the Sheep Dog- as well as the FB Pocket Orchestra who we are sure will keep everyone amused!
