Bridport’s only Dedicated Dinner & Music Venue last week celebrated yet another great performance, this time Julie Dunn returned for her 2nd visit, accompanied by Ben Waghorn, between them performing some fine Jazz, a mix of classic & Contemporary, using the sounds of the Keyboards, Sax, Flute & Julies pitch perfect vocals.
The next instalment, Thursday 7th June, is that of Charlie Bicknell, A stunning Cabaret style act, infusing the cabaret from London’s West End with Jazz, accompanied by David Harrod on Keyboards & local performer, Clive Ashley on Sax this should retain the Jazz feel, but offer something a little special for those lovers of Cabaret. Charlie is highly regarded in her genre as one of the finest, performing at multiple venues and concerts nationally including Pizza in the Park & Chelsea arts club, having rave reviews to her name including Godfrey Smith of the Times Newspaper who said
“A classy young Chanteuse in whom sex & wit, style & charm make a high octane mix. Enjoy the ride.”
What more can be said but to book now, tables for the pre-performance dinner are going fast, and you would kick yourself to miss this one.
Pre-booking for dinner between 7:00 and 8:00 pm is essential, and guests should telephone on the day (between 2:00 and 6:00pm) to confirm numbers in their party, at which time they will be informed of the cover charge – anticipated at between £5 and £10 per guest. Unfortunately late-comers cannot be accommodated as dining must be completed before the music starts at about 9:00pm.
