Van Royale are a Liverpool based 4-piece rock band, formed in 2022. They consist of Brent on drums, Duncan on lead vocals and guitar, Mike on bass and George on lead guitar. They spent 2023/4 gigging extensively across the Northwest and have built up a loyal following.
They have already independently released two singles, ‘A Lifetime’ in 2023 and ‘Lock My Door’ in 2024.
Their music is full of dynamics, with rich, deep and swirling melodies.

“We are Van Royale a classic rock band originating from Liverpool. Although defined as classic rock, our music spans many styles and genres from Radiohead influenced melancholic and atmospheric landscapes to the driving and climactic drum beats and riffs of Led Zeppelin. All supported with introspective lyricism and inventive bass lines.”
For a band going less than 2 years, Van Royale have already developed their own unique style and delivery.

“Take It All” is the debut release from Van Royale on the Black Lantern Records imprint of Chester-based not-for-profit label Red Lantern Records. This is the first single from the EP “Set In Stone” due mid-2025. Opening with a stripped back almost acoustic feel, Duncan’s soaring vocals take us an emotional journey through the heartache of breakup. As the track builds, Mike’s bass and Brent’s drums build the crescendo and is rounded by George delivering an equally emotional solo.

“Take it all is quite an unhealthy perspective on the ending and final stages of a relationship.
It’s about that feeling of desperation that punches you in the face when you’ve naively dedicated your life to another person and forgot who you are in the process.
It doesn’t matter how many faces or personalities you try on to fix things, you’re just trying to mend a sinking boat by putting more holes in it.
If anything it’s quite an embarrassing time to look back on but everyone needs those moments to learn about themselves and what they really want.”
