Dancers Wanted

“Dance Project evolves at Eggardon Hill”

Local residents are being invited to take part in a unique arts project exploring the ancient hill fort of Eggardon Hill in West Dorset. Budding & experienced dancers will work alongside professionals to create a new contemporary dance piece, inspired by and performed within the landscape. There is even scope for singers and artists to get involved- the sky really is the limit!

“Landance was an amazing experience for me and my daughter… I really enjoyed dancing outside and using the landscape as a direct source of inspiration… The range of ages of the people involved, from young children to older people, was great to be part of, everyone was invited to join in at their own pace.” Landance Participant

Anyone who is interested is encouraged to come along to the free taster workshops to see if the project is for them.

Landance in 2012 is funded by Arts Council England, Dorset AONB… and is the culmination of a three year project bringing the arts into the great outdoors at some of the South West’s most beautiful landmarks.
