Greta Stoddart, one of the Bridport area’s most acclaimed and promising young poets, will read her work at Sladers Yard on Friday 8 April at 7.30pm.
Greta’s most recent collection Salvation Jane was shortlisted for the Costa Book Awards. Her first collection At Home in the Dark won the Geoffrey Faber Memorial Prize in 2002. Reviews for her work in the national press have consistently heaped praise upon her language and her use of images to present the dilemmas in everyday life. She teaches for the Poetry School in Bridport and Exeter.
