Bridport business owner Gill Crump and her staff from the Fancy Dress shop in Barack street Bridport are having a scary time at the moment.
The Ghost Of Mr Ben has been seen in the shop.
When interveiwed Miss Crump said its getting out of hand, myself and the staff will be working away and his bowler hat will just suddenly fly around the room and you can here the theme music playing faintly in the background as if its comming out of nowhere.
In the mornings when we arrive costumes are strewn around the changing room where he has been trying them on and going off on his adventures. One member of the staff found a ticket to a cowboy rodeo on the floor, So that explaned the cowboy outfit being out of its bag she said. We were suprised Mr Ben did not take the ticket with as a reminder of his day at the rodeo.
We do not mind having people trying on the costumes if they are going to buy or hire them but to spirit themselves in and dress up and then go of on adventures without any thank you is just bad manners. We have over 2000 costumes so its going to take him years to get throu that lot.
While we we undertaking the interveiw it suddenly went cold and a womble costume walked into the changing room and before we could say bagpuss all the litter outside had disapered. Mr Ben again i think said Miss crump.
