HU TO STAR

Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall has been offered a cameo role in the next League of Gentlemen Release a film “Keeping it In the Family” due to be released in 2008. The team at the League of Gentlemen appear to have approached him for reasons of budget. Hugh, being notoriously cheap in the industry, has not only the benefit of being entirely flexible for shoot dates due to his empty calendar, but has the benefit of a pig-nosed snout, usually associated with those lacking in genetic variety.

The images shown below illustrate a clear likeness between Edward Tattsyrup, the suspicious Shop owner and our very own Q-list celebrity “chef”.

Cottaging by the River has never been so easy…
A delighted Reece Shearsmith said “we’re very excited to have Hugh on board. We have assurances from his bank manager that he will be able to afford his own expenses during his stay in Royston Vasey…so we will be sending any expense claims straight back to him, should we receive any”. “Hugh is a special acquisition for us, he has a natural talent for stupidity and his swine-like features make him the perfect candidate for the role.”

When asked if Hugh’s limited acting ability may hinder his performance, Reece revealed that he is playing a character who is so in-bred that they were born mute. “A non-speaking role like this is perfect for Hugh” Reece said, “and all without the need for a drop of make-up.”

Hugh was unable to comment.

  1. Dragon, it does seem that you have had a personality failure lately. Everything seems to be getting on your tits doesn’t it? Your very arguement that the roads need more restrictions to stop dangerous/negligent drivers is a complete paradox. Surely the nature of a dangerous/negligent driver ensures that they will remain so, regardless of the restrictions you throw at them.

  2. Have fun in Royston Vasey, Hugh, but please hurry home to your beloved Dorset (or is ist Devon now?). We need you down here to show us thick muck-shovellers the difference between a lump of asphalt and delicious eco-friendly bio-organic pig penis pate, and how to catch three mackerel for a oner a day.

  3. A rickshaws could be the saviour of local transport-especially now that it is alleged that some vehicles have had their engines gummed up by Bio-diesel-do I detect a faint whiff of fishy conspiracy underlying the odour of chipfat?
