Fanny Hatstand Presents: Live Music at Chapel In The Garden, East Street, Bridport. on Friday 21st October. This months visiting acts are Tell Tale Tusk and Kai Carter. Tell tale Tusk are a six piece feisty folk band from East London delivering cheeky tales woven into raucous rhythms, overlaid with 3 part female harmonies, lilting clarinet and dancing fiddle; they are just back from a summer of festival touring and winners of heat 2 at Bath Folk Festival . Support is from multi instrumentalist Kai Carter with his experimental folk grooves.
Doors open at 8.30pm with the first hour of the evening devoted to giving emerging young songwriters (under 19) an opportunity to perform in a professional music environment in front of a sympathetic audience, their performance is then followed by the two established visiting acts.
Our young songwriters this month are Bridport’s very own home grown talent ‘The Table Top People’
Our bar serves local ales & ciders at £3.00 per pint, wine and cocktails with proceeds from events supporting original music projects.
Entry is just £7 for a great Friday night out.
