A master class with Martin Litton. We are delighted to announce that Martin Litton, one of the UK’s best Jazz Pianists, will be giving a master class later this month to help raise funds for the Bridport Literary and Scientific Institute restoration project.
Martin has played with Bob Wilbur, Scott Hamilton, George Masso, Peanuts Hucko and recorded with Wild Bill Davison, Yank Lawson and Marty Grosz. He appears regularly with Swedish Jazz Kings and on Radio 3’s Jazz Library. Jazz Journal said “Litton excels as blues man, strider and swinger.”
Martin will play the standards of various Jazz piano legends such as Earl Hines, Fats Waller etc and explain their differences and techniques.
Tickets are £12, but numbers are limited to 80 so book now at The Bull Hotel, and at Bridport and Dorchester Tourist Information Centres.
