100 years after the Mexican Revolution, modern-day Zapatistas campaign for the same ideals of land reform and social justice.
Alongside footage of current activists, the last surviving soldiers who fought with Emiliano Zapata in 1910 talk with humour and vigour about a collective history they helped create. Colourfully posed in fields, courtyards, cafes, castles and kitchens, they discuss the betrayals of today’s neo-liberal governments, and reveal truths not to be found in any book.
