Bruce’s Historic Walks

This Summer, Bridport Museum’s Bruce Upton is taking us on his popular guided historic walks of Bridport, He is leading participants around some of the town’s most interesting landmarks, describing how the Bridport has grown from its Saxon roots, into the place it is today.

The walks are being held on Tuesdays and Thursdays. They started on Tuesday July 5th and will run to Tuesday September 13th*.

Tuesday’s walks take in East Street, West Street and Barrack Street.

Thursday’s walks explore West Street, South Street and Gundry Lane.

The walks cost £3.00 per person, paying on the day, and leaving from the Museum on South Street at 10.00am. Walks last approximately 1.5 hours and are easy, level walking.

Bridport Museum’s Assistant Curator, Nichola Blackmore said:  “You’ll discover things about Bridport you never knew before!”

*No walk on Thursday July 28th
