Carnival Presentation Evening

Bridport Community Carnival Presentation evening was held on Monday 13th November.

The event was well supported; the beneficiaries of Carnival funds received their cheques, but the evening also afforded the committee the chance to say a heartfelt ‘thank you’ to those who helped support the events with their much needed practical help through out the weeks activities.

The Mayor, Dave Bolwell & his wife, Bridget, were also in attendance, but unfortunately – due to a clash with Town Council business – no other Town council Representatives were, but Chairman Graham Davies passed on  the committees’ grateful thanks to Daryl Chambers and all his team, for all their continued support.

Despite every ones efforts, the events only just broke even this year, as costs from Road Closures and Insurance, as well as the everyday costs of security and medical attendance have all increased substantially.

But the feedback received has indicated that the Carnival was deemed a great success this year, and it is hoped that its success can be built on for 2024 – but then that is up to YOU!
