Would you like the opportunity to meet up with others undertaking this role across Dorset? Then come along to our first Dorset Volunteer Managers Network Forum on Monday 8th October at 10am at the Weymouth Community Safety Centre. This is a great opportunity to network, share news, information, advice and discuss issues about volunteering and volunteer management.
Karen Jones from the Volunteer Centre Dorset says “many people in these roles sometimes feel isolated in that they do not know where to find the relevant information around volunteering good practise or where to find support in dealing with a issue- or to source some volunteer management training. These networking events will give those attending valuable contacts and information plus contain mini training workshops specifically aimed at volunteer management and personal development. I currently help to run a national on line volunteer management network and have seen the great benefits that this has brought not only to volunteer managers but also their organisations and volunteers but is there is still always room for a personal meet up face to face over a cuppa to meet and chat”
