Remember the Old Library?

We want to hear your stories about the LSI

Bridport Arts Centre has received funding from the Heritage Lottery to run a second Bridport FM community radio project in 2014. This will take to the airwaves from 15 – 21 September. Bridport Literary and Scientific Institute (the Old Library) will feature in one of the new programmes and we’d like to include your stories and memories.

• When: Monday 27 January 2014 between 3.00 and 7.00pm
• Bring: Any stories or memories, short or long – we’d love to hear it all. Please also bring friends and families if they have stories to share.

Our cultural heritage

Bridport LSI will be part of a programme looking at our local cultural venues. Radio project volunteers are very keen to talk to a wide range of local people about their memories and experiences of the LSI with a view to finding lively programme content. The idea is that by gathering a whole range of stories, they will be able to bring to life for listeners a picture of how the building has been used over the years.

The story sharing event at Bridport Arts Centre on 27 January will be an opportunity to have an informal chat with one of the friendly radio volunteers. They would love to hear from you!
