St Michael’s lies within a designated ‘Conservation Area’ and the Town Plan 2006 (District Council) states; Development should be limited to 80 dwellings, the height of buildings must be in keeping (not 4 storey), there must be no loss of employment, views must not be blocked (as they would be by 3 storey flats in St Michaels Lane) etc..
