It’s Hats On Once Again at Bridport Museum!
Bridport Museum is staging another exhibition this Autumn to celebrate the town’s popular Hat Festival. The exhibition will run from 24th August to 2nd November when it closes for the 2013 season.
The Museum is delighted to once again borrow some more hats from the incredible collection of Jay Ann Knox. As Dorset has so many beautiful beaches, Jay has decided to make this year’s theme, “Beside the Seaside, Beside the Sea” – a Visit to the Seaside in Hats. She hopes that it will evoke many happy memories for visitors. The hats on display will include 6 quirky swimming hats and some beautiful straw hats by designers such as Howard Hodge and John Frederics.
Entrance to the Museum and the exhibition is free. This is an amazing opportunity to see part of an incredible collection, not to be missed.
Jay is also appealing for anyone who has one of the old style ‘Kiss Me Quick’ hats from the 50s, 60s or 70s cluttering up their loft to get in touch, as she would dearly love to add one to her collection.
