Can You Help?

Front-of-House Opportunities at Bridport Museum

Are you looking for a rewarding and interesting volunteer position in your community?  Do you enjoy meeting people? Do you love culture and history and would like to be more involved with your local heritage? Have you recently moved to the area and would like to make some friends?

This is a wonderful opportunity for anyone with an interest in museums and working with the public. Whether you are wishing to gain work experience or retired with some free time to spare, volunteering at Bridport Museum can help you gain new skills and help provide a valuable service for your local community. Volunteers are on duty in pairs so you could always apply with a friend.   You will always have the full support of museum staff.

Bridport Museum is a registered charity, which aims to tell people about the history of Bridport and its people. Working as part of a team, volunteers work morning or afternoon shifts to welcome visitors, run the shop and assist with general museum ‘house-keeping’.

If you think you could brighten up people’s day by welcoming them to the Museum phone us on 01308 458703, email: office@bridportmuseum.co.uk or call in at our Local History Centre in Gundry Lane.
