Bridport Museum Re-opens on Saturday 19th March 2016
Come and pay us a visit and have a look at our displays! Our beautifully rejuvenated Museum Shop will have lots of new goodies to buy and our Front-of-House volunteers will be on hand to welcome everyone again.
Butterflies with Dr Roger Newton
Tuesday 22nd March, 2.30pm at Loders Village Hall
The Friends of Bridport Museum have organised an illustrated talk about butterflies with Dr Roger Newton. He will cover the evolution and adaptations of butterflies using stunning photographs. After the talk tea and delicious homemade cakes will be offered. The entrance charge will be £4.00 on the door.
Courtyard Sessions

Starting in the Easter School Holidays with Music in the Museum Courtyard Sessions:
- Wednesday 30th March, 11:30am: Music with David Powell.
- Friday 1st April, 11.30am: Music with Declan Duffy
- Wednesday 6th April, 11.30am: Music with Chris Deacon
- Wednesday 6th April, 2.30pm: Music with Val Hall and David Tizzard.
- Friday 8th April, 11.30am: Music with Val Hall and David Tizzard.
Keep an eye out for further Courtyard Sessions! Running throughout the season, Bridport Museum will be showcasing the talents of local artists, artisans and performers.
Historical Guided Walks
Tuesdays and Thursdays during the Easter and Summer Holidays.
Starting in the Easter School Holidays with the first four walks of 2016:
- Tuesday 29th March, 10am.
- Thursday 31st March, 10am.
- Tuesday 5th April, 10am.
- Thursday 7th April, 10am.
Tours leave from the Museum at 10am, and will consist of around 1.5 hours of non-strenuous walking. There will be a small charge per person to help fund Bridport Museum. To find out more please visit our website.
Quiz Nights
April 2016 and October 2016 at the British Legion Hall, Victoria Grove
The Friends of Bridport Museum will put on their great fun fundraising quiz evenings again. Tickets will be £6 to include a light supper. Bar and raffle available. Teams of 6 per table, 7pm for a 7.30pm start. Check the website for more details.

- 11th -12th August, the Salt House, West Bay
Join Bridport Museum and the Jurassic Coast Team for 2 days of free family fun. Explore fossils and local wildlife, and help our artist make some big pieces of artwork to hang in the museum.
