If you think so, then there will be something for you at Bridport’s Open Book festival (19 – 26 November). The festival celebrates writing and books of all kinds, and offers four workshops for would-be writers. If poetry is your thing, then award-winning poet Great Stoddart will be running an Introduction to Poetry Workshop at Bridport Arts Centre, 4 – 6pm, on Tuesday 22nd.
If writing your own memoir appeals to you more, then come along to meet Roger Garfitt on Wednesday 23rd (4 – 6pm), also at BAC. If you feel your ideas would work best as short stories, but don’t have lots of time on your hands, then why not try the ‘Flash Fiction’ workshops on 25th/& or 26th, with past Bridport Prize award-winners Vanessa Gebbie and Tania Hershman. For more information on workshops, venues etc contact Bridport Arts Centre or see www.bridport-arts.com
