Crime writer to lead new writing group
It would be a crime not to join the new creative writing group being set up by Bridport & District University of the Third Age (U3A). Because it is going to be run by crime writer Penny Deacon.
Penny, who lives at West Bay, started her literary career writing for romance publishers Mills & Boon before moving to crime and publishing “A Kind of Puritan” and “A Thankless Child”. “I expect we’ll be looking at fiction, poetry, short stories and personal memoirs,” she said. “But we’ll develop the course as a result of feedback from people at the first meeting.”
