The melodrama, Dope Under Thorncombe, was made at the end of the 1930’s by hairdresser Frank Trevett and a group of friends. It was written by Bridport thriller writer Andrew Spiller.
In 2009 Windrose Rural Media Trust commissioned a new musical score by Rachel Leach to accompany the film
