Writers will be given a unique opportunity to create work for a worldwide audience next month through an exciting 2-day workshop from Bridport Arts Centre.
Led by BBC writer and producer Paul Dodgson, participants will develop both life writing and radio writing skills. Through the course they will create a show of new life writing that will be made available to a worldwide audience via the Arts Centre’s website as a downloadable podcast.
Life writing can include biography, autobiography, memoirs, diaries, journals, first-hand accounts and oral testimony.
Tutor Paul Dodgson said “You don’t need to do anything in advance, just arrive with an open mind, your voice and a desire to explore stories from your life.”
Writing Life in Sound will take place on Saturday 4 July & Sunday 5 July from 10.30am to 4.30pm each day. Saturday’s course will be held at Chapel in the Garden, East Street, Bridport and Sunday at Bridport Arts Centre, 9 South Street, Bridport.
Sat 4 & Sun 5 Jul / 10.30am to 4.30pm
Tickets are £58 for both days and are available online at http://www.bridport-arts.com/events/writing-life-sound-paul-dodgson/ or via the Arts Centre Box Office 01308 424 204 (10am to 3pm Tues to Fri / 10am to 4pm Saturdays). A maximum of 12 places are available.
