Many people now know of Bridport’s DJ Collective who put on a night for dancing at the Conservative Club.
What they may not know and this information was accidently discovered by Frolic DJ, Crumpet was that a wooden 18 gun brig called HMS Frolic was built in Bridport by a company called Boole in 1806. It was captured in the Atlantic on the 18th October by an American ship The Wasp in 1812 and recaptured by the British fleet along with the American ship on the same day!
To celebrate this uncanny Bridport namesake the Frolic Collective are holding a special nautically themed Valentines ‘kiss me harder’ Ball this Thursday at the Conservative Club. 8.30pm – 12.30am £5
So grab your bell bottoms, shiver your timbers and shake your booties to the salty dogs of groovy tunes!
