Friday 4th April – Cherry Stone – Cherry Stone are an Acoustic Duo formed in December 2013.
Guitarist Bert is from the Isle of Man and was previously playing with Break the Chain.
He is involved in organizing the annual Beer Rhythm and Blues Festival.
Singer and Percussionist Jane is from South Africa.
She performed with a band called The Firm who played in Cape Town and Stellenbosch.
This will be an Open Night.
Thursday 10th April – Simon & Michael – Bridport musicians Michael Grew and Simon Hartung are no strangers to music – improvised, funk, soul and blues. They first met 8 years ago through the rich grapevine of Bridian music and appear together in various band concoctions – the latest is about to make a Blowout this summer.
Michael and Simon will be playing tribute to the music of Antonio Carlos Jobim, Cole Porter, George Gershwin, Miles Davis, Herbie Hancock and many more.
This will be an Open Night.
Saturday 19th April – Daisy Wardle – Daisy is a young singer/songwriter based in Bridport. Her music is inspired by both folk and pop music, and also sings jazz with the Rex Trevett Big Band. Daisy plays live gigs across the South West both solo and with various bands, and has also appeared on various radio shows including The John Govier show on BBC Radio Devon.
This will be an Open Night.
Thursday 24th April – The High C’s – The High C’s a quartet of social malcontents and mellow geezers. Combining acoustic instruments and electric tastes to produce authentic sounds. Genre Psychedelic Skiffle Country Punkstep. On acoustic bass the funky fretting fingers of Chris “Bleeding Gums” Medcraft. The rootin tootin flutin sounds of Chrissy “The Hedge”. On percussion the groovy beats of Chrisley El Rand. With the silver strung guitar of Courageous Captain Country Chris.
This will be 115’s first club night this year to be held on the last Thursday of every month.
