Here are a couple of events from the West Bay Discovery Centre.
Exhibition: Pier Terrace Through Time 1st July 2025 – 15th March 2026
Pier Terrace is West Bay’s most iconic building, and 2025 marks its 140th anniversary. It was built as the first step in a plan to transform Bridport Harbour into a popular tourist destination. Pier Terrace and those who have lived or stayed there, from the Victorian era to the modern day, are part of a rich history. The Centre will bring this back to life through an exhibition and a supporting programme of events, which will include talks, walks, and children’s activities.

The exhibition is linked to Bridport’s House History Project, run by Bridport Heritage Forum, and produced by the Friends of the Discovery Centre.

Guided Walks around West Bay until 30th October, every Thursday
West Bay Discovery Centre’s friendly and knowledgeable volunteer guides on a Thursday morning will help you enjoy exploring West Bay with a selection of walks covering the history and nature of West Bay. All walks leave from West Discovery Centre, there is a £5 fee per person, payable on the day (no advance booking required). Walks start from outside the Centre at 11am sharp.
