Bridport Film Society’s new season at the Arts Centre begins on Tuesday 1 October 2013 with Barbara, a gripping thriller from Germany. The 12 screenings (for members and guests only) are every Tuesday evening fortnightly until March 2014. Film Society evenings are highly sociable, with doors open at 7pm and pre-film bar.
The carefully chosen, balanced programme of contemporary films covers the usual wide variety of themes and cinematic approaches from around the world. This season includes the charming Wadjda, the first film ever made by a woman in Saudi Arabia, the widely acclaimed Danish drama The Hunt and an uplifting and often funny story from France about an exceptional relationship, Untouchable.
Visit the website www.bridportfilmsociety.co.uk for further details of the 2013-14 programme and how to become a member (£30 for the season and excellent value for money at £2.50 a film).
