Thursday 12th – Open Mic Night – 8:30pm – New to the Ropemakers, an open mic night for all to come along to and enjoy. We’ll see what happens and hope to have some interesting musicians turn up.

.. He may be gone but his songs live on. Mark Carter-Cash has given up his job on the railway and taken over the baton to deliver that unique vocal and guitar style loved by country music fans everywhere. With Paul on lead, Tom on double bass, Toni Viagra on the drums and introducing the lovely June Carter on vocals and autoharp they produce a driving sound covering the rockabilly years of the 50’s right through to the melodic, soulful tunes of recent years. Saturday 14th – Blue Room Baboons – 9:15pm – The Blue Room Baboons are a funk band like no other! All original material that will appeal to those who like to get down and dirty.
With a blend of Rock, Funk , Blues and Soul the band create a unique sound. Often blended with a drink or two, the live show creates a funk pit frenzy! Take a peep.
Monday 16th – Sunset Cafe Stompers – 8:15pm – Traditional New Orleans 1920’s style jazz.
Friday 20th – The Dolmen – 9:15pm – This year looks to be an exciting year for The Dolmen with European festivals being booked. Folk Rock at its very best. See them here.

Mañana – 9:15pm – Mañana are a six piece Latin/Ska band based in the southwest. Starting their travels in mid 2010 they having been steadily spreading out across the west country. With a sound that combines off-the-wall brass sounds with bass heavy grooves Mañana play music to make people dance and feel good. Their set includes originals and covers by artists from Ozomatli and the Cat Empire to the Reel Big Fish and Gorillaz.
Friday 27th – Hip Route – 9:15pm – Brilliant three piece from Swindon playing acoustic roots music.
Individually and collectively they have shared the stage with Jason Mraz, Newton Faulkner, The Hoosiers, Alabama 3, Them Is Me (ex-Reef and Basemant Jaxx), Two Spot Gobi, Ben Howard, Ash Grunwald, Carus Thompson (Australia), Martin Harley Band, Watermelon Slim and Carvin Jones among others. Saturday 28th – Funkinsteins – 9:15pm –
Women fronted kick ass funk band from Bristol,You will not of seen or heard anything like this before, they are something special. Amazing vocals breathtaking guitar and phat slap bass are provided by the girls Sal and Al, the drums come courtesy of the mighty JC.They have been touring the Uk for the last 2 years and have a new album The Escape on release this year produced by David Palmer. Friday 17th – Skimmity Hitchers – 9:15pm – You know its going to be a great night when the denizens of Dorset music are due to appear. Come along to laugh, dance or just sing along to these cider inspired band of badger baitin’ blaggards. Be prepared for much sauciness, banter and barracking. It could be folk (but not traditional), it could be punk or it could be cabaret. Take a look.

The Freaks have established a fervent following on the back of high energy performances, the like seldom seen in seaside resorts! And with a frontman described as the weird love child of Iggy Pop and Jarvis Cocker. A tight band. With even tighter trousers! Here they are.

The Bag of Rats musical world, like the world of their furry namesakes, has no borders. They draw on Country, Blues, Punk, Jazz and Traditional songs and tunes, as well as their own original material, to create their verminous, psychedelic concoction.
