Bridport Film Society’s latest World Cinema programme for Bridport.
Bridport Film Society’s new season at the Arts Centre begins on Tuesday 2 October with a screening of Werner Herzog’s extraordinary Aguirre, Wrath of God, shown as a tribute to John Surry and his long years of involvement with the Society and so many other Bridport institutions.
The 12 screenings for members and guests are every fortnight until March 2013 and there is the usual wide variety of themes and cinematic approaches. The season includes films from Iran, Brazil, France, Turkey and the Congo, living up to the Society slogan of ‘World Cinema on your Doorstep’.
Visit the new website www.bridportfilmsociety.co.uk for further details of the 2012-13 programme and becoming a member. You can see and join in online comments on the Facebook page. For those who prefer it, the latest brochure and membership application forms are also now available from the Arts Centre and other venues around town.
