The original old Brewery at Bridport in Dorset is where we still work to traditional methods, with the finest ingredients. These methods have built our reputation over the past 200 years. Today we skillfully add new technologies, to create five quality ales for the 21st century.

Palmers Brewery Tours

FermentingWe welcome visitors to our Brewery from the end of March to October. The fascinating guided tour starts at 11am on every weekday and lasts for two hours. These specialist tours are very popular and we do advise you to pre-book. You will have the opportunity to see every stage of the centuries-old brewing process. After the tour you will be presented with a commemorative Palmers tankard and can sample a few glasses of award winning Palmers ale, famous Golden Cap Scotch Whisky and ever popular Palmers Ginger Beer and Lemonade.

Just adjacent to the brewery is our wine store which is open to the public and stocks fine wines at great prices, sourced from some of the world’s best vineyards.

Story of a Dorset Brewer

Palmers brewery have a book out entitled ‘Palmers – The Story of a Dorset Brewer’ It is a wealth of information on the history of brewing and of Bridport in general.
