Transition Town Bridport in association with SW Dorset LETS will be holding a Big Picnic at the Bridport Community Orchard on Sunday 19th June between 12.00 and 3.00 pm. The event is free, and all comers are invited to bring their own picnic based as far as possible on locally sourced food.
TTB’s aim is to build a resilient community able to deal with a future less reliant on fossil fuels, and promoting local food production is at the heart of its philosophy. LETS, the Local Exchange Trading Scheme, offers a directory of services which participants can exchange for NETS, the exchange currency. LETS will have a stall at the picnic, trading in local currency or cash to non-members.
This event is part of Bridport Food Festival. Bring the kids, enjoy sharing a picnic bursting with lovely local food, and make new friends – all for free!
