Aiden Cooper will be holding his 2nd Aiden’s Amble after his fund raising success of last year. He raised over £700 and Dorset Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty were so impressed with his idea they matched funded the project to provide family woodland activity events.
This enabled the Allington Hillbillies to stage six events providing 40 free places at each event. The events were managed by dan from Magdalen Farm Trust who arranged a wonderful array of activities for all age groups.
“We plan to hold at least another six over the next twelve months. We would recommend that families register their interest now by sending their details via email to allingtonhill@gmail.com. The last three events were heavily over subscribed and we had to turn families away. It costs £5 to sponsor a free place.
Please support Aiden raise his target of £500 towards the next events over the coming year. We aim to provide families with at least on free session and subsidise places at further events. We wish to provide free places so there is no barrier to families attending that are on a low income. These are the families we hope to reach, to give them the confidence to play in a woodland environment and get up close to nature. A minimum £2 donation is required to take part in the event which is suitable for young and old. Although the children like to race many prefer to walk the route. Turn up early, bring a picnic and enjoy the other activities on offer.”
