THE annual Bridport Charter Fair will take place on Saturday, July 7 in South Street and Bucky Doo Square.
A children’s fancy dress display and competition is being held this year at noon.
Other attractions will include a dancing display from Teresa Grinter’s dancers and a dog obedience display from Bridport Dog Training Society.
There will also be music from 9.30am to 2pm, including Mitch Norman, ukulele players and Tinker’s Cuss.
Chairman Frances McKenzie said: “This is a real community event with the usual array of truly local organisations’ stalls lining South Street.
“There will be goods for sale and information”.
Burton Bradstock Cars are sponsoring the fair this year.
The Bridport Charter Fair is a celebration of Bridport’s Borough status being granted in 1253, during the reign of King Henry III making this the 758th Anniversary.
