In September 1981 a few women camped on Greenham Common in protest against US nuclear weapons at the RAF Base there.
Over many years, demonstrations, disruptions, mass gatherings, imaginative actions and court cases, the peace camp became an international symbol of the audacity and tenacity of women’s non-violent direct action.
Film-maker Beeban Kidron lived at the camp for 7 months to make this documentary film tribute to a landmark women’s protest, Autonomy Films’ contribution to Bridport’s week-long International Women’s Day Festival.
