Police in Bridport are appealing for witnesses and information after a large number of properties were vandalised overnight on 23 and 24 January 2009.
A total of six properties had their guttering torn away from the walls of the houses on a stretch of South Street, south of the War Memorial.
Police in Bridport are reviewing CCTV images from the town centre.
Bridport Section Commander, Inspector Alan Jenkins said: “This damage appears to be deliberate and we are appealing for the public to come forward if they saw anything suspicious over the weekend.
“Apart from the obvious cost, this damage has the potential to cause a safety hazard, as water will now have to run across the pavement. Some of these buildings are also Grade II Listed and this will increase the cost of any repairs.”
Witnesses and anyone with information should call Dorset Police in confidence on 01202 22 22 22 or the free and anonymous Crimestoppers line on 0800 555 111 where mobile phone tariffs may apply or call PC Brown at Bridport police station.
