Dorset Food Week – a week long celebration of all things mouth wateringly, sensually, irresistibly Dorset! The week that gives us all a great excuse to focus on the fabulous food and drink that is produced within and from the landscape of our wonderful county. This year Dorset Food Week will run from Saturday 25th October to Sunday 2nd November with a new look and a new style to make sure everyone gets to enjoy all that the celebrations have to offer.
Hotspot
This year every day will have a ‘Hotspot’, the place where the day’s activities will be focused, and so each day will have its own individual character reflecting the food, farming, landscape and rural culture from that particular Hotspot area. During the mornings we are asking food and farming businesses to open their doors, invite people in and show them where and how their food is produced. Each Hotspot location will then host a local products market and festival in the afternoon, followed by an evening of our best pubs and restaurants offering local produce dishes – indulge yourself in exploring the finest Dorset has to offer.
Sunday Lunch
The week will end in a grand finale on Sunday 2nd November – the day that is now officially Dorset Sunday Lunch day! Everyone will either buy local meat and two veg to cook for a fabulous Sunday Lunch at home or, for those less keen on the washing up, drop in to one of our cafes, pubs or restaurants for a wonderful Dorset Sunday Lunch using local Dorset meat and vegetables.
Business Open Days
