Downhouse Farm is taking part in Dorset Food Week running from Saturday 25th October to Sunday 2nd November 2014. We have plenty to offer across the week including delicious BBQ’s, Cream Teas, Guided Flora and Fauna walks across the farm (going to places you will never have been before!), as well as the chance to meet some of the newest members of the farm – if you are very lucky you may get to give them dinner too!
Here’s What’s On:
Every day
Farm Trail, 10am – 4pm: A self-guided trail around the farm with a set of clues, learning about the farm along the way. £1 per person, come into the cafe to get your clues.
Traditional Afternoon Tea in the Garden Cafe – alongside our Cream Teas, we will have this Dorset Food Week Special to include Scones, Cake, Finger Sandwiches and Tea Galore!
Sunday 26th, Wednesday 29th & Friday 31st October
Farm Flora and Fauna Walk & Mini Dorset Cream Tea, 2pm – 4pm. Nikki will lead a guided walk around this wildlife-rich farm highlighting the very best of its flora and fauna. £5 per person includes walk and cream tea, followed by a chance to meet the sheep and calves.
We will be firing up the Barbeque for Dorset Food Week, so please come and join us for an alfresco lunch and eat some of the farm’s delicious produce cooked fresh to order, 11:30am until close, £10 per person for two items hot off the barbeque and bottomless salads.
