Meadows and butterflies, what a glorious place to be! Investigate the butterflies of the reserve look at their habitats and contribute to our invertebrate art work!
Tuesday 5 August GET IN THE MOOD FOR MAMMALS 10-1pm
Take a peek at the small mammals of the Kingcombe Centre, discover the difference between a mouse and a vole!
Wednesday 6 August POOTER FUN 215pm
A Wednesday walk starting at 215pm returning to the centre at 4pm for tea. Investigate the invertebrates of the meadows.
Thursday 7 August FRESHWATER FAMILY FUN 10-1pm Come and get your feet wet in the river Hooke and then learn about the marvellous and numerous life to be found below the surface.
20th Celebratory week
Tuesday 19th August Family walk, bring a picnic we will head out across the reserve find a nice spot, lunch and then return. Get an opportunity for a half day guided walk across one of dorsets finest wildlife spots; take in the hay meadows and the views across west dorset to the coast. Depart The Kingcombe Centre 10am and return mid afternoon £3 per person
Thursday 20th August moth and mammals 10am -12 noon take a peek in our moth traps from the night before and then check our small mammal traps and learn about the some of the smaller mammals in our countryside.£3 per person
Wednesday country fair, there will be opportunities to pond dip during the afternoon.
Friday 22nd 10am – 12 noon an Investigation of the River Hooke, come and see what lives beneath the surface. £3 per person
