Court Orchard Community Events 29th October. Organisers of both events are working to gether to foster a community spirit in Court Orchard. We are also hoping that the new residents of Dibdin View will come along to meet their neighbours. The big breakfast is being organised by Councillors Kayes and Lathey and the Halloween Event is organised by the Rivervale Home Watch Group.
Community Big Breakfast
A Community Big Breakfast is being held at the Scout Hut near the junction of St Swithins Road and Armstrong Road from 9am to mid-day. On Saturday the 29th of October. Residents are invited to drop in on their way to town or work for bacon butties, local sausage and egg fry-ups plus tea & coffee. Drop in and meet Safer Neighbourhood Officers Mark Jones and Andy Burdess from the Bridport Town Safer Neighbourhood Team. Join your local Home Watch Scheme and get involved in your community. Meet local councillors, and the newly formed Residents Community group. Stop and chat and share your ideas and meet your neighbours.
Halloween Neighbourhood Get Together
Also, later in the evening of the 29th of October, a Community Halloween Disco & Fancy Dress is being held at the scout hut near the junction of St Swithins Road and Armstrong Road from 5.30pm to 8.30pm. Prizes will be awarded for the best fancy dress outfits in the age groups 0 to 10yrs and 11 to 16yrs. Excellent prizes have been donated by Double Drive Computers, Waterstones, Frosts and other local Bridport businesses.
Tea, coffee and soft drinks along with a free buffet will be available to all children and adults attending thanks to generous donations to the event from Magna Housing group and Raglan Housing Association. Adults may bring a bottle.
Safer Neighbourhood Officers Mark Jones and Andy Burdess from the Bridport Town Safer Neighbourhood Team will be there along with other members of the Rivervale Home Watch group and local councillors. This is a community event and although there is a children’s fancy dress, this event is for adults too, so please come along and enjoy the evening and meet your neighbours – children not a requirement!

Think I may be persuaded to leave the old bat cave to have a bacon bap in the morning and bob an apple or three in the evening. The work being carried out on my humble bell tower has left me feeling like a night out.
