Many community activists from The Kingcombe Centre and the Volunteer Centre Dorset are set to create a wave of kindness in Kingcombe on Sunday 1st November as part of CSV Make a Difference Day, the UK’s single biggest day of volunteering.
The Kingcombe Environmental Studies Centre will be having an open day with activities such as a produce pick, Tunnel tidy if you want to help out, guided walks around the Centre leading onto the reserve depending on weather, or just come by and visit us to see what we do and have free refreshments and cakes.
The volunteers say that in uncertain times community spirit is more important than ever, and are calling on people across the area to come along and get involved. They aim to kick-start a wave of kindness across the community on Sunday 1st November.
By visiting or taking part in an activity you can sample the delights of a Farm that time forgot and see the new projects for the future in conservation, environmental studies and also biodiversity. To take a bigger part in all this action, should you have any unused gardening equipment you no longer need that is in useable condition please bring it along to Kingcombe and donate your items for future project users and be part of the start of your own wave of kindness.

That is why this year as part of our CSV Make a Difference Day, along with the Kingcombe Centre, are having this special event because it’s something everyone can be involved with, and shows how important community relationships are.”
