Autonomy Films present Greece: “Our present is your future” New footage from the front line with film-maker present.
Mainstream media lament the ‘Greek tragedy’ – this up-to-the-minute footage shows the people’s self-organization in response. As well as demonstrations and strikes, we see clothes swops, work-ins, community kitchens, local assemblies, street actions for free transport, skill-sharing, free health clinics and direct farmer/consumer co-operation. Greece shows what banker-driven austerity looks like – our future? – and such solidarity may be needed here.
After the film show, there will be a chance to discuss and ask questions with one of the REEL NEWS film-makers just back from Greece.
