To commemorate the centenary of the start of World War 1, Bridport Arts Centre’s Bridport FM will be running a week of radio programmes called Lest we Forget as part of their Heritage Lottery funded radio project.
Hosted by Philip Ringer, the nightly show will discuss many aspects of the Great War and include music, poetry and extracts from letters and diaries. The programme is now in the planning stages and is looking for studio guests who have stories to tell about a particular aspect of the war – the involvement of a family member, memorabilia, stories that have been passed down through their family etc.
Presenter Philip Ringer says “we are keen to talk to anyone with a story to tell about any aspect of World War 1. The programme has a very broad remit and we want to present a wide range of experiences from lots of different people to create a vivid picture for our listeners.”

Bridport FM will be on air from 15 – 21 September inclusive and Lest we Forget will be broadcast between 7 – 8pm Monday through Friday that week.
