By popular demand The Lyric has expanded the already popular Puppet Club as there has been so much interest from adults, as well as children, who want to learn puppet-making and the skills of puppetry.
The new Puppet Making course will be on Tuesday evenings, 5-6.30pm starting on 25th February for adults and teenagers.
Puppet Club will be on Mondays, 4.30-6pm commencing 24th February and is for anyone over the age of six plus an accompanying adult.
Each person will come away with a finished puppet by the end of the course.
Niki McCretton, Lyric Director says,
” We’ve had a great response to this and it’s been wonderful to see the puppets each person has created. We have a lovely new arts space upstairs at the Lyric for making activities such as Puppet Club and it’s great to witness everyone getting so hands on and creative.”

More puppetry classes will also happen over Easter with master classes from CBeebies puppeteers and others.
