Not far from Bridport you will find The Tunnel Target Sports Centre which is proving to be one of the top target shooting facilities in the country, opened in July 2010 and built inside the old Charmouth Tunnel – a Grade 2 listed structure that used to span the A35 trunk road between Charmouth and Axminster until the bypass was built in 1990 it has been transformed into a clean, comfortable and efficient set of shooting ranges with a 25 Metre ground floor range with 4 lanes and the 50 Metre range with 5/6 lanes. There is also a 100 Metre range under construction.
Target Shooting
Both ranges are available for Small Bore and Gallery Rifle (Pistol Calibre Rifles) target shooting and can be used Small Bore, Full Bore Pistol and Black Powder. Airguns can also be used. Both ranges can be used from a standing, kneeling or prone position and at 10, 15, 20 and 25 metres.
Membership is very reasonable and is open to anyone who wishes to take part in the sport of target shooting. Beginners and non-members are welcome to come along to check out the facilities.
